Privacy Policy

We're straight-up honest about how we handle your info. This isn't some corporate speak - just real talk about your data and how we protect it.

Overview

Look, we get it - privacy policies can be a real snooze-fest. But here's the deal: at Blazeward Continuum, we actually care about your personal info and we're not gonna do anything shady with it.

We've been working on high-performance vehicles and diagnostic systems for years, and just like we treat your car with respect, we treat your data the same way. This policy explains what we collect, why we need it, and how we keep it safe.

Last thing - if you've got questions or something doesn't sit right with you, just shoot us a message. We're not hiding behind corporate walls here.

Information We Collect

When you book an appointment or reach out to us, we'll ask for the basics:

  • Your name (so we know who's bringing in that sweet ride)
  • Phone number (to give you a call when your vehicle's ready)
  • Email address (for service reminders and invoices)
  • Mailing address (if we need to send anything your way)

Pretty standard stuff - nothing we wouldn't need to actually do the work you're asking for.

We're gearheads, so yeah - we keep track of your vehicle details:

  • Make, model, and year
  • VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
  • Current mileage and service history with us
  • Diagnostic codes and performance data from our scans
  • Modifications or upgrades we've done

This helps us track what's been done and what might be coming up next. Plus, it means we're not starting from scratch every time you roll in.

When it comes to payments, we keep things secure:

  • Billing address
  • Payment method details (processed through secure payment processors - we don't actually store your full card info)
  • Transaction history and invoices

All payment processing is handled through encrypted, PCI-compliant systems. We're mechanics, not hackers - we leave the security to the pros.

Like most websites these days, we collect some technical info:

  • IP address and browser type
  • Pages you visit and how long you hang around
  • Device type (phone, tablet, desktop)
  • General location (city/region level, not your exact address)

This helps us figure out what's working and what's not on the site. If everyone's bouncing off the diagnostics page, we know we need to fix something.

How We Use Your Information

We're not collecting data just for the fun of it. Here's what we actually do with it:

Service Delivery

Schedule appointments, perform diagnostics, keep your service records straight, and let you know when your ride's ready.

Communication

Send service reminders, answer your questions, and keep you updated on what's happening with your vehicle.

Preventative Maintenance

Track your vehicle's history so we can recommend services before small issues become big problems.

Improvement

Figure out what's working and what needs tweaking in our services and website.

Legal Stuff

Keep records for warranty work, handle disputes if they come up, and stay compliant with Canadian regulations.

Marketing (Optional)

Share special deals or new services - but only if you're cool with it. You can opt out anytime.

Who We Share Data With

We're not in the business of selling your info to random companies. But there are a few situations where we need to share data:

When We Might Share:
  • Service Partners: Parts suppliers or specialty shops we work with to get your vehicle sorted out properly.
  • Payment Processors: The companies that handle credit card transactions securely.
  • Legal Requirements: If we're legally required to hand over info (court orders, that kind of thing).
  • Business Transitions: If we ever sell the shop or merge with another business, your records would transfer to maintain continuity of service.
  • With Your Permission: If you specifically ask us to share info with your insurance company or another mechanic, we'll do that.

Everyone we work with is required to keep your info confidential and use it only for the specific purpose we shared it for.

Security Measures

We take data security seriously - just like we take engine diagnostics seriously. Here's what we do:

Encryption

All data transmission is encrypted using SSL/TLS protocols. Your info is scrambled during transfer.

Secure Storage

Digital records are stored on secure servers with access controls and regular backups.

Limited Access

Only staff who need access to do their jobs can view customer data. No snooping around.

Physical Security

Paper records are kept in locked cabinets. Our facility has security systems in place.

Your Rights & Choices

Under Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA and all that), you've got some solid rights when it comes to your personal info:

You can ask to see what personal info we've got on file for you. We'll show you your service records, contact details, and vehicle history. Just give us a shout and we'll set it up.

If something's wrong or outdated, let us know and we'll fix it. Got a new phone number? Changed your email? We'll update our records no problem.

You can ask us to delete your personal info. We'll do it, but keep in mind we might need to hang onto some stuff for legal or warranty reasons. We'll explain what we can and can't delete.

Not interested in our promotional emails or texts? No hard feelings - just click unsubscribe or let us know. You'll still get important service-related messages though.

Want to take your service records to another shop? We'll provide your data in a usable format. We want you to be happy, even if it's not with us.

If you think we've mishandled your info, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. But please talk to us first - we'd like a chance to make things right.
